Meikle Toir, meaning ‘big pursuit’, is peated whisky from GlenAllachie. It’s made with mainland peat from St. Fergus and has been carefully crafted under the watchful eye of master distiller Billy Walker.
This edition takes Meikle Toir’s sweet smoke and fruit-forward spirit and ages it first in ex-bourbon barrels and then in Chinquapin virgin oak barrels from the Northern Ozark region of Missouri, USA. This has added layers of toasted nut and spice notes to the mix, resulting in a complex and moreish dram.
