• About Green River Distilling Co.
• Founded in 1885 by J.W. McCulloch, Green River Distilling Co. is the 10th oldest licensed distillery in Kentucky. Known for its high-quality bourbon, the brand was once the official medicinal whiskey for the U.S. Marine Hospital and was famously traded for gold mine interests. A fire and Prohibition led to its decline, but it was reestablished in 2022 in Owensboro, Kentucky. Green River Distilling Co., now part of Bardstown Bourbon Company, is a prominent member of the Kentucky Bourbon TrailTM, known for its smooth, classic whiskeys made from traditional mash bills.
