Matured in three casks with a large part of the aging process in sherry casks, Glenlivet Triple Cask Matured Rare Cask is a travel retail exclusive expression from the chaps at Glenlivet distillery. This refined whisky is bottled in small batches and has some interesting tasting notes. The nose has lots of ginger and orchard fruits with some honey, leading onto the beautiful palate with oodles of spiced orange marmalade, ginger and anise. The finish is medium length with some baked spices and a little cocoa.
